Colusa County Office of Education

Under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools, the Communications & Public Relations (PR) Department is responsible for comprehensive communication and marketing of the Colusa County Office of Education’s services and programs to ensure public understanding of CCOE’s mission, goals, and accomplishments, and of public education in general.

The department:

• assists senior leadership in interpreting public attitudes and helps identify and shape policies and procedures in the public interest;

• produces news releases, articles, newsletters, reports for publication, and speeches and keynote addresses for the Superintendent;

• creates content and manages the design and layout for the CCOE website and social media platforms;

• coordinates electronic outreach initiatives, including television, radio, and emerging media messaging tools;

• serves as the official photographer and videographer for CCOE, documenting graduations, programs, and events;

• plans, coordinates, facilitates, implements, and oversees student and employee events, public ceremonies, tours, and press conferences;

• provides materials and information to news media regarding upcoming events and promotions;

• attends community events and promotes CCOE programs; and

• delivers verbal presentations and represents the County Office before community resources and agencies.
