Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

As we begin the second half of the school year, I am honored to introduce myself as the new Colusa County Superintendent of Schools. Having grown up in Arbuckle, this community has always been home to me. I care deeply about our students, families, and schools, and I am proud to serve the county that helped shape my own educational journey.

I have worked in education for more than 20 years, beginning as a Special Education Teacher at Pierce High School. Since that time, I have served in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as Deputy Superintendent of Student Services at the Colusa County Office of Education. These experiences have strengthened my belief that strong schools are built through collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to student success.

As Superintendent, my priority is to support our districts and partner with our community to ensure every student has access to high-quality educational opportunities. The Colusa County Office of Education remains committed to working alongside our local districts, families, and community organizations to provide consistent support, high-quality services, and collaborative solutions that address the varied needs of our students and school communities.

I am committed to open communication, strong partnerships, and ongoing engagement with our districts and community as we work together to support student success. Together, we will continue to strengthen educational programs, expand opportunities, and ensure that education in Colusa County continues to thrive.

Warm regards,
Chuck Wayman
Colusa County Superintendent of Schools
