As the Program Support Technician, Julie Rivera holds the office together and delivers a profound impact on every aspect of the CCOE-Children's Services department.  Julie's extraordinary interpersonal qualities make her the face of Children's Services and her smile and laughter are always contagious.  Julie is passionate for building a positive work culture where everyone is a vital member of the team.  Julie has perfected our Onboarding system to ensure all employees are trained and are set up for success.  She is extremely dedicated and strives to give 100 percent to any task that she is given. Additionally, Julie is always willing to support management and staff with additional projects resulting in a positive impact on our department's performance.   Julie continuously demonstrates leadership, sincere commitment and enthusiasm and her contributions to this team are invaluable.  Thank you for all that you do!

Yesenia has been with CCOE’s And Literacy For All (ALFA) program since the end of 2022.  The passion and dedication to helping the community was one of the first things I noticed about her.  Yesenia goes out of her way to try to help make things better for our littlest learners by teaching them how to read, and in effect improves their chances at having successful lives.  When we talk about customer support, Yesenia truly takes that to a new level as her customers are any and all Colusa County residents.  I’ve witnessed first-hand the love and care she shows our community at our migrant camp literacy outreach classes, you can just see the happiness she gets from seeing others learn.  It’s a special trait, it can’t be taught, and you either have it or you don’t, and Yesenia absolutely has it and deserves recognition for being such a great part of CCOE.

Argelia is part of the backbone that ensures the Special Education Department of CCOE runs smoothly and effectively. Her duties and work are not often seen by the department but are vital in the efficiency and success of the Special Education Department. Her meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach to department needs have been instrumental in maintaining efficiency and effectiveness within the CCOE SELPA.  Beyond her duties, Argelia consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that our staff feel supported and valued. She is constantly thinkings of ideas to make things easier for the department. Her willingness to assist colleagues in any capacity demonstrates her dedication to their and the department’s success. Argelia is also a life-long learner. If something comes up that she is unfamiliar with, she dedicates herself to understanding every aspect so she can produce an effective work product.  Argelia is a key component of the CCOE SELPA and a worthy selection for this award.
