Carla started as a Speech Therapist for CCOE in 1998 and I have had the pleasure of working with her for the last 20 years. Carla’s love for preschool students and her profession are truly remarkable. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that each child she works with receives the support and resources they need to succeed. Carla's expertise in speech therapy combined with her compassionate and patient demeanor make her an invaluable asset to students and parents.  Carla is also willing to pass her knowledge on to whoever asks or needs assistance.  Her commitment to advancing communication skills in our students has not only improved their speech and academic performance but has also boosted their confidence and self-esteem. Carla's persistent dedication to the well-being and development of our students makes her an easy selection for Certificated Employee of the Year.

Virginia Whitaker has been a valuable employee at CCOE for over 15 years. She started as a Special Education teacher before entering the role of a School Psychologist. Her dedication to supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of our students is truly admirable. Virginia's expertise in psychological assessment and intervention strategies have helped countless students overcome challenges and achieve success. Beyond her professional competence, Virginia's gentle approach and sincere concern for the holistic development of each child set her apart. Her collaborative efforts with teachers, parents, and administrators have strengthened our support systems and promoted a culture of inclusivity and empathy. It has been a pleasure to be part of Virginia’s journey as she exemplifies the highest standards of excellence in education, and it is with great honor that we recognize her as Certificated Employee of the Year.

Cindy Cerney has been a valued employee of CCOE since 1998. Her exceptional dedication and steady commitment to the students in our Preschool Special Education program make her an excellent educator. Her innovative teaching methods, coupled with her genuine compassion and patience, have significantly impacted the lives of our youngest learners. Cindy creates a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child feels valued and supported in their unique journey. Her ability to inspire a love for learning while providing individualized support to meet the diverse needs of our students is truly remarkable. Cindy is also a collaborative team member, maintaining positive relationships with numerous staff to ensure students are at the forefront. Cindy's passion for early childhood education and her tireless efforts in the pursuit of success for every child make her a shining example of what it means to be an Educator.
