BUSINESS SERVICES
Business Services provides support to
CCOE programs and to the school districts within Colusa County. The Business
Services program offers:
ACCOUNTING/AUDITING
- Recording of program revenues and
disbursements
- Issuance of commercial and payroll
warrants
- Compliance with the California School
Accounting Manual and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
AND REPORTING
- Accounting, reporting and maintenance
of district and program reports
- Reproduction and distribution of
report documents
BUDGET
DEVELOPMENT/REVIEW
- Support district/program budgets
preparation
- Monitoring to ensure district and
program fiscal solvency as mandated by AB 1200
DATA PROCESSING
- Development and maintenance of
on-line accounting, budget, and personnel data processing
systems
- Training for system users
RISK MANAGEMENT
- Coordination of medical, liability,
property, and workers compensation insurance
CREDENTIALS
- Coordination of registration and
maintenance of substitute teachers list
- Perform assignment/misassignments
audit
PERSONNEL
- Development and maintenance of
personnel files, policies, and procedures
- Position control and wage and benefit
cost projections
- Coordination of retirement workshops
FACILITIES ACQUISITION
- Procurement of facilities
SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE
SUPERINTENDENT
AND COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
- Central Office Management
- Coordination of various councils and
workshops
- Coordination of contracts
- Promotion of community and staff
relations
TECHNOLOGY
- Maintains the Consortium of CEWAN (Colusa
Educators Wide Area Network) with school districts
- County-wide technology plan
- Local and wide area networks
- Staff development activities to
incorporate technology into instructional practices and
administrative support
- Members of California Technology
Assistance Project (CTAP)
